Goals and objectives of the activity

For the near future, the goals and objectives are:

  1. Successful completion of current scientific and technical projects KI27, KI30 as part of the State Program of Applied Research "Space Research", CHS102, MA800 as part of the State Program of Applied Research "Scientific support of security and protection against emergencies", IK403 as part of the State Program of Scientific Research "Informatics and Space" in 2012-2013.
  2. Implementation of the task as part of the State Complex Program of Scientific Research "Space Research" in the period 2013-2015.
  3. Implementation of the task "Development of the system for operational remote monitoring of agricultural lands" as part of the Union State’s scientific and technical program "Monitoring-SG".
  4. Implementation of works on the topic "Start-5" under a foreign contract.
  5. Implementation of works on the development of a software and information complex for automated preparation of maps for publication (OKR "Edition") as part of the State Armament Program.
  6. Participation in the work on the supply of mobile navigation and topographic complexes to Kazakhstan in part of software and information complexes for receiving, processing and storing geospatial information (the head manufacturer of MNTC is OOO "Midivisana").
  7. Implementation of works on the topic "Modernization and development of a software and information complex for decision-making support based on the military geoinformation system" as part of the State Armament Program (works are planned for the period 2013-2016).
  8. Implementation in the military units of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Belarus and the author's support of software and information complexes for decision-making support GIS-VN, mobile navigation and topographic complexes, individual workplaces of an integrated cartographic and geodetic complex.
  9. Support of the software and information complex for the automated compilation of topographic maps of a derived scale during the process of trial operation at the enterprises of the State Committee for Property of the Republic of Belarus.

For the long term, the goals and objectives are:

  1. Development of the general theory of automatic generalization of cartographic images.
  2. Development of methods, algorithms and technologies for space (aviation) images automated decoding.
  3. Development and research of mathematical models and methods for 2D and 3D representation of geospatial information.
  4. Research and development within the framework of State programs and particular projects.
  5. Creation and implementation of cartographic and geoinformation systems and complexes based on ongoing theoretical research.
  6. Strengthening the laboratory staff, improving the qualifications of scientists and specialists, developing the material and technical base of ongoing developments and research.
